I was never really a fan of Kristen Bell until I saw her in that pink bikini top in FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL. That little ditty has Princess-Leah-in-the-gold-bikini written all over it and will forever have a special place in my spank bank. News that Bell has signed on to voice the female lead in the feature film version of Astro Boy has only made her all the more spank-worthy.
Although I'm not a die hard fan of the classic manga tale, I'm happy to see that Kristen is looking to branch out from the standard romcom fare that she has been sticking to since her Apatow-fueled breakout earlier this year. The film also stars Nicholas Cage, Freddie Highmore, Nathan Lane, and Bill Nighy and will be one of various high profile films next year to be released in 3-D.
