Either you're oblivious to the films or haven't watched any of them in your lifetime, but go watch the original and the fifth one and tell me which one is darker. Even the books get darker, grim, more people die, and more violent things happen. SO yes, they get darker. |

"I still hate the books, but my god these movies are fantastic!" - Its just amusing to read that because really compared to the books the movies are complete crap. Don't get me wrong, I've enjoyed every movie to some extent, but they just pale in comparison to the world she created inside of the books.
I recommend trying them again... The first one is good, the second book almost made me quit reading the series but my friend urged me to move on to book #3. And wow book #3 and then 4 really take it to a whole new level, if you can make it that far you might change your mind again. |

I never was a fan of Harry Potter. I hated the books and I knew if I hated the books, I'd hate the movies. I just coulden't get into it. I watched the first one the other day and my god I take back everything I said about Potter. I still hate the books, but my god these movies are fantastic! I'll DEFINALTY go see this one. |
